Issue
LDAP service fails after Portal is upgraded to 3.6.0.
This issue is because the (Update.ISO) for 3.6.0 does not contain the "pam_ldap_rvbd-186-0.rvbd.x86_64.rpm" file; hence the update.iso file does not install that LDAP rpm when upgrading from 3.5.2 to 3.6.0 due to which LDAP authentication stops working.
This behavior is only valid when the customer upgrades from 3.5.2 to 3.6.0; however, LDAP rpm will automatically get installed if you perform a fresh install to 3.6.0.

Solution
This bug is expected to be fixed in 3.7.0.

There are two possible workarounds once upgraded to 3.6.0 as follows:

1) Temporarily switch to local authentication or use RADIUS, TACACS, or SAML until 3.7.0 gets released.

2) Contact support so that the Engineering team (with root access to the system) could log into the device's shell and manually install the correct RPM software.

          a) Download the below RPM file, and copy it to any FTP/SFTP/SCP Server
                https://releng.nbttech.com/npm/archives/Portal_3_6_0/recompiled-rpms/components/bin/pam_ldap_rvbd/pam_ldap_rvbd-186-0.rvbd.x86_64.rpm
          b) Login into the shell, pull this rpm into Portal using the wget or FTP command, and execute “rpm -I pam_ldap_rvbd-186-0.rvbd.x86_64.rpm”
          c) Reboot
