Does SteelCentral AppInternals 10.x support instrumenting .NET CORE applications?
Issue
We have .NET CORE based applications which we want to instrument using AIX 10.x. Does AIX support .NET CORE applications?
Solution
SteelCentral AppInternals 10.15.0 introduced support for .NET Core 2.0 (later) on Windows only.
.NET Core on Linux is currently not supported.
We did run into issues with .NET Core 2.1 with 10.15 version of the code. This is a known issue and is being fixed by Engineering.
At the time of authoring this article, the GA version of code is 10.15.4 and 10.14.0 (for Pivotal Cloud Foundry environment only) which will have issues working with .NET Core 2.1.
BUG#300416 has been opened to address the issue. Please check the bug for more details as well as for release date(s)/version(s).
The fix for this issue should be in SteelCentral AIX 10.15.5 and later. Please see this article before upgrading
