There is a way to generate the diagnostic bundle from Analysis server SSH session and upload it to the case which has been to opened to work on the issue.
Please follow the below steps to generate a bundle and upload it to Riverbed SFTP directly from the Analysis server.
NOTE: To upload the bundle to SFTP, server should have access to internet.
Steps:
- Log into Analysis Server using SSH session
- Execute the below commands
>enable
>configure terminal
>debug generate
(Note: use "debug generate detailed" if need to include core files, core files may be large up to few GB)
- Once the command finishes running you will the bundle details and where the bundle resides on the server
- At this time you will need to log into Analysis server as root.
- Execute the below command
>request-root
- Send request-root code to technical support so they can provide you with one time only root password
- Enter the sent code in the shell waiting for a response
- Once you are in as root, please navigate to location where the bundle is present
- Rename the bundle which was created to add a prefix of Case_NNNNN_<bundle_name> (NNNNN is the case number)
The step above is very crucial for the bundle to be directed to the proper case
- Execute the below command
root># sftp sftpuser@sftp1.riverbed.com
- Follow the steps listed on the screen to upload the bundle
- The bundle should be uploaded to the appropriate case
