SteelHead interface speed auto negotiates to 100 Mbps instead of 1 Gbps

Issue
A SteelHead interface is configured for auto negotiation and is directly connected to a 1 Gbps switchport or router port interface with autonegotiation configured but negotiates a speed of 100 Mbps
Solution
Please ensure that a Cat6 or Cat5e Ethernet patch cable is in use and not a Cat5 patch cable. A Cat5 patch cable can only support up to 100 Mbps and force the SteelHead interface to auto negotiate a speed of 100 Mbps
