Unable to add NetSensor as a datasource on SteelCentral Portal.

On adding NetSensor 3.0 as a datasource on SteelCentral Portal 1.0 and above, we may see the error below:

Login Invalid: An error occurred during authentication.

SteelCentral Portal uses SteelCentral Authentication Service(SCAS) while NetSensor 3.0 uses AAM by default. The issue appears to occur due to the difference in the type of authentication service used.

To further confirm, look for the following error in the latest LiveUpdateServer logs in Netsensor(C:\Riverbed\ASnX\3.0.0_xxxx\log)

INFO [ac.send,HttpRequestSender::sendEnvelope: HTTPEXCEPTION: Failed to send request: com.makesys.common.efc.xmlcom.http.b: Connection refused: connect Cause: null
