Bloomberg TCP traffic is not being optimized and from the SteelHead WebGUI, the "Current Connections" page displays more WAN (KB) traffic than LAN (KB) traffic.
This traffic might be seen on TCP ports 8194, 8195 and 8292-8293.
Bloomberg TCP Traffic BPL1, BPL2 and BPL3 is not optimized.

Bloomberg data traffic has been engineered to be reasonably efficient across the WAN, with an emphasis on reducing latency of real-time updates.
Current Riverbed SteelHead products are not well-suited for speeding up delivery of market data or much of the other information available via the Bloomberg service.
Other features such as QoS and Path Selection can be used.
