Issue

On creating an auxiliary panel to view an external web page utilizing an iframe, the frame seems to be created, but no content is shown.

iframe code used: <iframe width=100% height=100% src=http://www.riverbed.com/>

Solution

By default, both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox have mixed content blocked. In order to view a web page within the frame, the mixed content needs to be enabled.

Please, use the settings below to enable mixed content on the browser.

To enable Display mixed content in Internet Explorer:

  1. Go to Internet OptionsSecurity
  2. Click on the Custom tab.
  3. Then scroll down to the Miscellaneous area, and enable Display mixed content.
  4. Click on OK.

Firefox:

  1. Type about:config in Firefox's address bar.
  2. Ignore the warning and click on I'll be careful, I promise!

  1. Search for block_active_content.
  2. Double-click on the item security.mixed_content.block_active_content to toggle it to False.
