Is it possible to recover if admin password for OPNET Authentication Server is lost? The admin account in OPNET Authentication Server is the default admin account for Dashboards, AppResponseXpert Browser Metrix and Transaction Trace Warehouse

Solution

If the admin password for OPNET Authentication Server which is used to also log as admin into OPNET Dashboards, AppResponseXpert Browser Metrix and Transaction Trace Warehouse is lost or cannot be remembered, the way to restore admin access is to re-install OPNET Authentication Server and re-run installers for OPNET Dashboards, AppResponseXpert Browser Metrix and Transaction Trace Warehouse.

Please follow the below steps to re-install your OPNET Authentication Server, AppResponseXpert Browser Metrix and Transaction Trace Warehouse access restored

  1. Uninstall OPNET Authentication Server by following OPNET Authentication Service v1.1 Installation and Administrator Guide
  2. Install OPNET Authentication Server by following the same guide mentioned in above step. After the installation the admin default password will become effective.
  3. Simply re-run installers for Dashboards, AppResponseXpert Browser Metrix, Transaction Trace Warehouse pointing to the OPNET Authentication Server machine from above steps when prompted by these installers for location of the Authentication Server
