I frequently have a problem starting the 3D Network Visualizer. The splash screen appears, but the program never progresses beyond that point. Ending the 3D Communications and 3D Network Visualizer tasks and starting them again will occasionally work. I am using a ATI brand RADEON family video card.

Solution

This problem occurs when:a) You are missing one of the ATI CATALYST drivers b) You have outdated ATI CATALYST driversc) You are missing Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable Package that is recommended by ATI for RADEON family video cardsSolution: Check your operating system - ATI recommends:-- For Windows 2000, you should have SP4 or higher installed-- For Windows XP, you should have SP1 or higher installedCheck for latest ATI Catalyst drivers:-- Go to www.ati.com-- Click on the Drivers and Software link-- Select your operating system.-- Select product (for example RADEON) -- Select software (you will need the available catalyst components - Display Driver, Control Panel, WDM Capture driver, and CATALYST Control Center) -- In addition, you will also need to download the Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable Package (you can download it from Microsoft's website)-- Install all the downloaded components and reboot whenever required.We recommended that you read the ATI Driver and Software Installation Instructions, RELEASE NOTES, and Fixed in this driver sections for information specific to your operating system and product.
