Issue

How is the op_prg_mem package used?

Solution

The op_prg_mem package allows OPNET users to allocated and free memory just like malloc() and free(), except that extra debugging information allows OPNET to trace the memory. This can be especially useful when using OPNET Debugger (ODB) to trace memory.Of course, you may still use malloc() and free() if you wish, but OPNET will not be able to keep track of structures allocated and freed in this way.For further information the op_prg_mem package, see the OPNET Simulation Kernel manual, chapter Prg. Also take a look at the similar prg_mem package in the External Interfaces manual, chapter Plib. For further information on OPNET Debugger, please see the External Interfaces manual, chapter Simx.2.
