Issue

Reset a SteelFusion/Granite device to its default factory settings.

Solution

*** The appliance will be halted and powered off after below commands. Physical access to the appliance will be required to power on***

reset factory reload -- Clears the SteelHead configuration but does not clear the SteelFusion/Granite configuration

reset factory clear-granite fast -- Clears the SteelHead and SteelFusion/Granite configuration, but doesn't scrub the block-store. Completes quickly.

reset factory clear-granite secure -- Clears the SteelHead and SteelFusion/Granite configuration and scrubs(writes random pattern on disk sectors) the block-store, but can take several hours depending on the size of the block-store.

service storage reset -- Clears out only the storage config.(this command not on your edge version? follow kb S24634)

During scrubbing, the below message is displayed:

Scrubbing the system. This might take a while.

scrub: using pre v1.7 scrub (skip random) patterns
scrub: please verify that device size below is correct!
scrub: scrubbing /dev/disk1p7 191665474048 bytes (~178GB)
scrub: 0x00    |.                                               |

Please Note the above commands are HIDDEN and should be fully typed.
