Peering Certificate expired on Steelhead Mobile Controller: How to make Mobile Clients Accept the Certificate

Issue

Steelhead Mobile Controller Peering Certificate Expired: New Certificate is generated. How to get Mobile Client to Accept this Certificate without user interaction.

 

Solution

This can be done in the SSL page of the Acceleration Policy:

  1. Navigate to Manage Endpoints > Acceleration Policy
  2. Open the appropriate policy 
  3. Click SSL
  4. Check the box: Trust all Pre-configured Peering Certificates

This will let all users automatically accept SMC Peering certificates in the background.
